Tried a few times and cannot reproduce the problem with the above patch, so looking good. Though sometimes the timeshift TS files are still not deleted. The attached log (cleared before testing) is just me playing a few channels for a few seconds, and with the following files left over when I closed XBMC: http://i.imgur.com/FijWf.png?1

If it matters, all 3 files are from channels on the same frequency.

Thanks!

Unfortunately it looks like the timeshift-not-ending issue is still there. It happens intermittently:

1. Play a channel in XBMC for 30 sec+
2. Press "x" to stop playback
3. Tab out to timeshift folder, see if the file is still growing

Works sometimes, have no idea what causes it

I cant reproduce it here. Can you post your xbmc.log+web.log?

In this log,

1. Ran XBMC
2. Played channel "7 Digital" for about 30 sec
3. Switched to "7TWO" for a few sec (at this point, the "7 Digital" timeshift file disappeared and 7TWO one created)
4. Stopped playback with the "x" button on my keyboard (tabbing out to the timeshift folder shows the file still growing)
5. Alt+F4'd out of XBMC

The file grows until I stop the NPVR service manually, and is not deleted automatically

This still seems to be an issue...i Play LiveTV via XBMC and then after i stop watching, the file still keeps growing until i restart the service. This doesnt happen using the NPVR Client.

I wasn't able to reproduce it here. It stops growing correctly for me.

I came home today to see that my C drive had 5% left. When i checked, the buffer folder had over 18GB of files and was still growing(earliest files was last night after i finished watching tv)
Here is what i did just a few minutes ago:

- Restarted NPVR service
- In XBMC, started live TV on channel (607) and let it run a few seconds
- While watching , bring up OSD channel and switch to another Channel(614) and let it run a few seconds
- press stop to return to channel guide in XBMC. (did not shutdown xbmc)
- Checked my buffer folder and last channel i went to is still there and growing.
- Went back into Live TV, started the last channel(614)
- NPVR created a new ts file and the old one stop growing.
- Stop the playback, latest ts file disappears but old one still remains but not growing anymore.

Problem doesnt seems to happen everytime i do what i described above but once it does happen, the only way to get rid of the rogue ts file is to restart the service again
Here are the logs
