Works on NextPVR, not XBMC

XBMC is not the best mpeg-ts player but it probably is something else. Could you record a 50MB sample and place it on dropbox or similar sharing site?

Your sample plays fine here using xbmc. Maybe try another audio option?

I have discovered that I was wrong about everything playing fine. My HD videos do this too. Just my SD plays fine. It worked before I upgraded to Frodo. Changing the audio did nothing.

fwiw:- I output video and audio via hdmi to an LCD tv. In XBMC, I had to disable the audio settings for ac3,aac,multichannel,truehd,dts-hd else video playback was 10x too slow (I think I also had to change the audio output device as well). Had the exact same issue on a laptop as well recently when on holiday.

YES!! You are da man! It's all working now, except that the live TV buffers for just a split second about every 10 secs. Recordings play fine though, I doubt I'll watch live much anyway, if I do I'll watch through NextPVR, so that's livable for now. Thank you for your help. Sorry I was a such a noob. LOL

Make sure you grab the latest patch file for NPVR which allows timeshifting. It also appears to vastly improve buffering issues.

I tried that and it still doesn't work. XBMC doesn't like the .ts files that NPVR + HDPVR create.

I will post the logs and a .ts file when I get home.

You probably would be best not to cross post on xbmc and here. I just responded "there" that "With files an HDPVR I believe it is best to have your STB output a fixed rate. I choose 720p and don't have any problems from NextPVR"
