network recorder not showing in devices after following instructions

I uninstalled npvr. Deleted the data folder. reinstalled all prerequisites. reinstalled npvr. stopped service. put network recorder files in data folder. restarted service. same outcome. logs show nothing new. any suggestions?

Way OT but I would
- Uninstall - remove 'C:\Users\Public\NPVR\' - remove registry HKLM\Software\Wow6432Node\NPVR - install - check the details of the install program for errors. - check that there are logs - stop recording service - apply post r2 patches - start recording service - start nextpvr - make sure there are more logs Martin

OK, Here's what I did in detail.
- Uninstall - I uninstalled using a program called Your Uninstaller which is suppose remove all traces. However, prior to uninstalling, I didn't see the files in the registry location you mentioned. After uninstalling, I ran a tune up in Trend Micro which did delete some unknown registry files. - remove 'C:\Users\Public\NPVR\' - Both the data and primary NPVR folders remained after uninstall. After stopping the Ntray service, I deleted them both - remove registry HKLM\Software\Wow6432Node\NPVR - At this stage I was pretty sure the registry files were gone - install - After a reboot, I did a fresh install and applied the patch file found here (http://forums.gbpvr.com/attachment.php?a...1350070977) per the xbmc wiki. I also backed up the npvr.db3 file - check the details of the install program for errors. - I didn't know where to check for this so I skipped it - check that there are logs - After starting NPVR the first time, I checked the Logs folder and saw the same 2 files as before (NRecord.txt and NRecord.log) - stop recording service - did this - apply post r2 patches - redownloaded and did this - start recording service - did this - start nextpvr - did this - make sure there are more logs - There were now 3 files (NRecord.txt and 2 NRecord.logs) The Network Recorder is still not displayed in the devices. I assume it's suppose to just be in there, right? Am I suppose to do anything else in order for it to display?

Your installation is still bad, there should be more logs. On the Install program there is a button to show the details.

uninstalled same as previously mentioned and reinstalled. Attached are the details. Seems like it is properly installed but still no network recorder in devices.
Any ideas?

Stop the services, kill ntray.exe and run NPVRSetup again, click Show Details at the end and then right click to copy the content to the clipboard paste into notepad and save it, compress and upload.
I have never seen this issue before sorry. Martin

Ok you figured it out Now just start and stop nextpvr.exe, and if it doesn't run with logs, check again for runtimes for direct show and visual studio.
