The problem as it stands is the occasional "unable to find Capture device" when trying to view live tv.
Re-starting the recording service did seem to solve the issue, but then all of my scheduled recordings for that tuner moved to "conflicts" tab.
They could not be resolved and I had to delete all of them and re-schedule them.
Could this be due to the plugin conflict?

I couldn't see anything in the logs but that probably means that I was looking in the wrong place or that I didn't understand what I was reading.

Next time you get an error post the logs and report the date and time that the problem occurred.

Hi guys,
I lost all of my scheduled recordings for the USB tuner again.
Granted it is unusual for me to let the update perform at 10am while I at work and NOT connected to any tuners, but most times it works fine. Today was a little different in that I was not connected to WIFI when the scheduled update attempted. I logged into wireless and manually initiated the update. When I checked, all the recordings were in conflict with the exception of anything using the Networked HD Homerun. The USB connected Hauppauge scheduled recordings all failed.
The NDigitalhost log contains a cryptic:
2015-02-12 10:32:39.202 [DEBUG][5] Unexpected error on ATSC put_TunerRequest: 0x8000FFFF
2015-02-12 10:32:39.202 [DEBUG][5] whoosh whoosh

Attached are my logs dated today in case anybody can look....
I guess if I need to be connected to all tuners when the guide updates, I can always change the schedule to 7pm.
Maybe I will do that anyway just to see if it happens again.

I am also enclosing logs from Sunday night, 2/8/15. I had attempted to record 3 shows simultaneously across 2 different tuners. The 2 usb Hauppauge recordings (Grammy awards and the Simpsons) stopped recording after almost 5 minutes even though they displayed "Recording" under the "What's New" list. Columbo, which was recording over the networked HD Homerun) continued recording, but I had to delete it to get the Grammys to begin recording again.

Thanks in advance for any help and I apologize if this needs to be moved to a different event posting....

You went into Devices without your USB tuner attached. That flagged the USB tuner as "Not Present". Then when you ran the EPG update, it had no tuner to assign the shows, so they all went into conflict.

DO NOT click on "Devices" without all your tuners attached.

Ok...that makes sense. When I went to find the update button after the scheduled update failed (b/c of no internet) I must have clicked through that page on the settings menu.
Just curious though....how come the conflicts never resolve once the tuner comes back. The only way I have found to 'fix' it is to delete ALL of the offending Recurring scheduled programs and put them all back again, which is a pain. Any other way to fix this?
Thanks for your time!

conflicts are supposed to be deleted and re-evaluated upon every EPG update. If that isn't happening then there's a bug. I'll try testing it here.

yeah, sub has had some funny log messages at times. usually those odd ones are just there while sub is testing something, but a few of them stick around; I think "whoosh whoosh" has been around for years, only sub knows what it means. There was a really funny one awhile back, but I don't recall what it was.

works fine for me. disabled my QAM tuner, ran EPG update: all Disney shows showed up in Conflicts. re-enabled QAM tuner, ran EPG update: all Disney shows scheduled as expected, Conflicts screen empty.

It's related to the tardis, that's all I'll say on this one.
