THE HDPVR 2 with both Hauppauge Capture and c4me have trouble with the switch from the gpu to the vpu. It's fine as a real player.

Just seen this today. Bought a RPi last year but never used as I didn't like the interface for Npvr. My interest was again raised after seeing the model B being released, so ordered a remote last week for more playing.

Anyway downloaded and installed X-Newa today and looks very promising. Just need to try the remote when it turns up from its slow boat and look at the auto start function.

Looks like a model B might be on the cards.

Do you mean the RPi2? The B model was out last year, and overclocked web client isn't that bad, most of the delay is the slow network card. Whey they kept model B doesn't make sense to me.

If you have a slow boot disable Live TV in Kodi if you don't need it since X-NEWA and web client don't need it at all,

ssh in with putty and then assuming you are using OpenElec use account root/openelec

Just logged back in to say I had done it with Putty, and find you had post this. LOL.

That was fun trying to fins the addon.xml file.

Luckily some of my UNIX memory of 17+ years ago came back and I used the find command to locate. File altered and booted right into X-NEWA.

Just need my remote to turn up no for further testing.

In the sticky I provided a guide, but the problem is the special://home folder for addons varies by platform. On OpenElec it is it is simply in .kodi when you ssh in so follow through to .kodi/addons/script.xbmc.x-newa/addons.xml

Hopefully your HDMI TV supports CEC to get you started.

You can use any mce remote, wireless keyboard, kodi iphone or android app they all work well
