Trouble setting up next pvr

mc2xml used to be a good option for North America too, but it's been broken for a few weeks (ever since Microsoft switch guide providers).

Ok, I can't help you with that. Once you've got your EPG source sorted, let use know if you're having any issues loading it into NextPVR.

Since you're using an analog source, probably the easiest way is to got into Settings->Devices, double click your analog device, then hit the 'import' button and point it at your xmltv file, then hit ok. Head over to the Settings->Channels screen, then hit the 'Update EPG' button and you should be good to go.

OK, I imported the file, hit Update EPG. For about 5 minutes it is stuck at Checking for any XMLTV listings, guess I wait? Also, sorry if I am asking a lot but before with Windows Media Center, I could tap the channel number I want on my keyboard and it would send a signal to my PVR under my computer to change the channel. I am using Kodi and was wondering first, is it still possible to do it and do I need to setup that in Kodi or NextPVR? Also, how would I do that because I didn't found any documentation/tutorials online.

EDIT: The signal is send through a plug behind my computer which say IR Out

It shouldn't take this long with xmltv. Reproduce this problem, wait 10 minutes, then zip and attach your npvr.log and I'll take a look.
