Nextpvr LiveTv: only a black screen :(

Ok, I've modified the file and the service started!

But now I get the previous black screen.. could be some other localized setting fault?

P.S: and if I open the settings, the config is overwritten with the wrong dots.

try to watch livetv, then post all logs: right-click logs directory, select "Send To->Compressed (zipped) Folder" (or the equivalent in italian, of course)

you might have to fix that manually until the next version is released; once you get everything setup you won't be going into Settings very often.

Ah, I already tried it before, here are all the logs.

try setting your livetv buffer directory somewhere else, to a directory you've created yourself (i.e. C:\LiveTV or something like that). it's currently set to C:\Windows\Temp and you're getting an error; I'm not sure if this is the cause of the black screen or not.

also, make sure in the settings for FFDShow Video decoder (click the little button with 3 dots), make sure mpeg-2 decoding is enabled.

I've created the folder C:\Users\Public\NPVR\Temp , but I'm still getting the black screen.
Btw, an empty .ts file was added there during the test.

FFDShow seems ok.

ok, the access denied error is gone, and there's no other indication of any problem in your logs.

if you're sure you've enabled mpeg-2 decoding in ffdshow (it defaults to disabled), I'd suggest trying a different decoder.

ultimately if you're going to use Kodi for the front-end the decoders in NextPVR won't make any difference, but it's usually recommended to get things working in NextPVR anyway before trying to configure Kodi.

You could try the unlocked SAF package for decoders, ffdshow is at best shaky, some have got it working many have not. Another question, are you sure the channels is not encrypted? Ie. do you need a smartcard in connection with a box to watch them on a regular tv?

But.. I've never had problems with ffdshow.. and mpeg2 is quite the basic decoder! :O
Also, wouldn't I get some error about "missing codec" or something?
About that SAF, I don't know, I've never been a fan of packs.

Yep, it's the first channel of the public tv. No smartcard needed.
I've tried also other channels now, but the result is the same.

EDIT1: why does the guide has "(no show deta" on every channel, then?
EDIT2: does the Avermedia device need some weird proprietery codec maybe?
