Can't change a channel in Kodi when watching

The logs posted so far a not good enough to debug. You probably need to restart the recording service and change channels until it fails and upload all the log folder not selective files. Kodi.log too.

Thanks BrettB for clarity on your comment. I'm just a little flustered troubleshooting my issues and seemingly the only one with the problems
 I guess if I am the only one testing new builds that can be part of the problem.Martin, I have been able to recreate this issue many times with timeshift enabled. I will take your advice and include a comprehensive log, both Kodi and NPVR later today. EDIT: New log files. Enabled time shift in in Kodi forNextpvr, enabled debug logging. Exited Kodi Restarted recording service Launched Kodi Loaded channel successfully. Changed channel > "Tuner not available" message. Hit stop. Loaded channel successfully. changed channel > Tuner not available. Looked at computer running nextpvr and it appeared the channel was still tuned even though Kodi was no longer streaming it. Update. This issue appears to be a kodi alpha related bug. I downgraded back to 16.1 stable and the issue disappeared. I'm still unsure though if this is Kodi core problem of a NextPVR addon issue. How should I proceed?

Just to let you know I'm also having the same problem. I just decided to move from Intel NUC/Kodi 16/MP to a Fire TV/Kodi 17/NextPVR and I'm experiencing the same thing. Turning off Timeshift fixes it. Note that Kodi 17 has just moved to beta and that's what I'm using at the moment.
As mrdally said, I'm not 100% sure it's a Kodi 17 issue or the PVR add-on that's the problem, but it's definitely a replicateable one for multiple people now.  I'm guessing this is an add-on issue as it would be more widely reported if it was the Krypton build itself. I should be able to clarify that by pointing it to my MP backend instead of NextPVR but I'm having a seperate networking issue with that at the moment.Who maintains the add-on?

So I've finally got around to installing Kodi 17 and taking a look. I was expecting the worst based on these comments about problems changing channels in the new version, but I found channel changing seems to be working ok me, with timeshift either off or on - so not sounding like NextPVR addon is universally broken with Kodi 17.
