Be careful, too, because they may not have all been changed the H.264. Here in Minnesota, Comcast changed many of the "cable networks" to H.264 but not the local broadcast stations (and I think not sports networks, but I'm not sure about those).

If you go to the web management screen of one of your HDHRs and look at the channel lineup you can see which ones are H.264 because they have the "AVC" icon.

My lineup doesn't have AVC on any channels but I changed 1 of the channels (namelyTCMHD) in NPVR like Sub said and it works now? I'm sure not looking forward to doing this for all the channels on all 3 tuners in the HDHomerun but I found it doesn't work to do just 1 of the tuners.

What type of device are you using?

FYI, you best bet to do these updates for 3 tuners is to delete all the channels from two of the tuners, do the updates to a single tuner, then double click on each of the other two tuners and accept it's offer to copy the channel configuration from the existing tuner.

You probably need to click on the "Detect Channels" button at the top of the lineup listing to get it to detect the current settings (including the H.264 info).

He's got an HDHR Prime. And, yes, do what sub said and delete all of the channels from the 2nd and 3rd tuners. Then make the changes on the 1st one and copy the channel configuration over to the 2nd and 3rd tuners when you're done.

You were correct, re detected and everything that isn't over air has the AVC on it. I hope redoing the tuners doesn't mess up my scheduled recordings.

You should always make a backup copy of your npvr.db3 database file before you make any significant changes to your configuration (just in case...).

That being said, as long as you don't delete the channels from the first tuner (i.e. just edit each one individually and change to H.264), your scheduled recordings should be just fine.
