Its coincidental. I only changed three lines of code to do with MVP startup. There were no changes anywhere near any video relayed code.

Quote:BTW, the web admin is no longer working in my install. I did an inplace install and tested it after the video problem noted above. When it didn't work I reran the MSI and did a repair, same result. I copied in the "web" directory from the previous (91.9) install witch had the "gbweb-enhanced.v12.zip" version of web admin installed and working --- this does not work either.
I may end up having to do a clean install.
Its hard to predict what state yours setup is now in, so yes, probably worth uninstalling, deleting the "c:\program files\devnz" directory, then reinstalling. Your web will then work. I've tried it now on several machine, with out any problems.

NOTE to others, as with previous releases - if you've upgraded you may need to delete all files from "c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr\web\bin\" except gbweb.dll and gbweb.pdb, then restart the recording service before the web will function. I'll eventually fix this to make it automatic, but I havn't found time for it yet.

I did a clean install and the web portion is now working as intended. The characteristics of the video 'clicker' on startup have changed. Now it is a single 'flash' as the audio kicks in: the video comes on without audio, something less than a second (I'd guess) later the video 'flashes' wuickly and the audio kicks in.

What are the System Default codecs by the way? I have Intervideo and CyberLink video and audio codecs installed on this system.

It just lets your system pick. It could be anything. I'm not sure whether Cyberlink or Intervideo would be used in preference.

You can use the DECCHECK.EXE from Microsoft.com to figure out which decoder set is your System's Default (although you'll have to go through that Genuine Microsoft shakedown to get it). I think I may have posted a copy in the General Discussions Forums before the forums were changed; I'll go see if it's still there.

On a side note, can anyone who got their accounts transferred from the old boards actually edit their messages? I've noticed that on posts that I wrote on the former board that got transfered over, the Edit button appears, but for messages I write now (like the last three), I can't edit.

Thanks, Sub, that was the answer to my web woes. .91.11 looks good.

But, I still have the problem where none of the number buttons on my 34-button MVP remote work. All other functions seem to work (channel up, channel down, using the number keys to skip xx seconds, etc.) This is both on my MVP and directly to my PVR 250. I don't see anything in the logs except my pushing the Channel + button, nothing about other number keys.

I ran .91.5 and .91.9 with the same problems. Don't remember the exact version, but before the revision numbering change, number buttons worked.

Thanks for any thoughts.

jcromes Wrote:Possible problem:

I just installed 0.91.11 completely fresh. Scheduled my recordings, and as a test wanted to change the recording quality of one of them. Went to RECORDINGS, PENDING and selected the one i wanted, then hit UPDATE and got "Object reference not set to instance of an object..."

Anyone confirm?

Jason

Also, in addition to the above problem, when I try to watch a recording that is currently in progress, i get a long pause (5-8 seconds or so) and then I get "Error: Failure playing back file".

Anyone else seeing the two problems above?? These did not exist in 9108 for me...

Do you mean in the guide? You can't.

You need to go to recordings, and play it as if it's already recorded. You'll watch it as it's being recorded.
