that's odd, this was a bug that was squashed years ago. Exact same symptoms. I wonder how it's managed to come back, if it is indeed the same bug. I'll try to re-produce it here later tonight or tomorrow.

If you're recording at the same time as live tv, and no other tuners available, it is valid to get this message...so could just be a misunderstanding (hard to know without logs).

I can confirm the same issue, although I don't get the actual "Reduced Channel List" message - but the available channels are indeed reduced. I lose all but the highest numbered sub-channel of each major channel. So I don't lose channel 4 because there's no 4.x, but I lose channel 11 because there's an 11.3, and I lose 13, 13.2 and 13.3, retaining only 13.4. And so on.

All channels remain available and selectable from the full F1 guide; it's only Channel-Up/Channel-Down and the quick guide that are affected.

Yes, I do have all channels available on all tuners.

As far as I remember, this is exactly the same bug squashed years ago.

I've attached logs, but honestly there's nothing interesting there. You'll have to setup some dummy channel numbers and test it yourself.

Actually I'm not sure this bug was ever squashed in the first place. Looks like I first reported it here: https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.ph...post492259 (disregard the thread title, it started with a different issue)

Then I had it in one of my infamous bug lists for 3.7.0, and then Martin mentioned it in 3.8.3 testing. You provided an update described as fixing some of the issues he listed, but it's not clear if this was one of them. Around that time is when I stopped using NextPVR.exe directly, and now use Kodi or the Android TV app so I both no longer see this and almost never watch Live TV anyway (and when I do watch live, 9 times out of 10 I watch truly live with the TV's tuner)

ah, a trip down nostalgia lane, reading my old thread from a bit over 3 years ago brought back this little story:

funny bit, my daughter was watching a show, so I asked if she minded if I take over the TV for a minute and test something. She said ok, and sat there watching...

so I went in with tightvnc, really quick shut down the program and service, copied in the patch, went back in, started a recording on channel 4, then hit LiveTV... didn't even notice what was on... turns out it started on channel 4.2 showing Miami Vice, a sex scene with 80's sex scene music, and I hear my daughter shout "DADDY, I'm in here you know! I'm seeing that with my little eyes!!!"

ah, the innocence of youth... "my little eyes!!!"
