Searchlite is only suggested to help convert your existing NEWA saved searches to sub's advanced searches.  In v5 no plugins will run so you will need to wait until sub has a web interface for Advanced Searches or use NextPVR for Windows.  There is a missing implementation in UI Client that prevents keyboard input on the Advanced Search menu option.

Hi Martin,

I've installed what I hope is the latest plugin from here https://github.com/emveepee/Testing/wiki...SearchLite into v4.
I looked at the instructions regarding NEWA saved searches and it indeed found the ones that I saved from UJBs WebAdmin, but I am unable to work out the next step, i.e. saving them to sub's advanced searches. Can you point out the next step please?

It would probably have been better to ask this question when I added the feature in 2017 or before I stopped using v4 last year. I know 1.4.6 is not the correct version and I see there are two download links on that test wiki which never was well maintained by me or users (if there even were any)

I will have to look at the code and refresh my memory and get back to you on that one. The best thing to do is zip and send the web-saved-searches.xml from the user folder.

Also is your question related to the topic, are you getting an object error?

Apologies, my question is not actually on the thread subject about " object errors" i.e. I am not able to tell you if I have that error (or not) as I haven't run anything which might produce it. I put it in this thread simply because you noted earlier that:

It could have been in another thread where you suggested the same. I didn't ask in 2017 as v5 was not on the horizon at that time (except probably in sub's mind) and UJBs NEW Web Admin search had been working realy well for me until I installed v5 to try it out, so I didn't feel there was any pressing need to change.

It's a one off conversion to the new system I guess but I have quite a few saved searches.
I will try and send the web-saved-searches.xml from the user folder when I get home from work tonight.

The 2017 comment that was more about not having a clue what the code does anymore so that didn't help. You xml file will help at least I can put it on a test v4.

The modern UI web server in v4 should have given everyone a clue that the web server was changing.

Do you remember which failed I suspect that they were the title only search that are easily replaced with keyword title searches but weren't as powerful in v4.

Also I see that you have saved searches without a record which I miss too but that can usually be down pretty easily with genre search if your guide has it.

Ok then wasting type with old code I rewrote this in python and it is working pretty well at least for importing your list couple of things I didn't bother with. Let me know if you'd like to try it out.

It also looks like you have a few stale shows and some broken channels so having them in the normal scheduled recording view might help.

Thanks for this this as I appreciate it is a one-off conversion, although I am hoping it will help others migrate successfully.
I am not sure what to do with the "stale shows and some broken channels" but I can probably live without them.

This will be an update to the searchlight plugin I guess?

Also confirm the IP and port you are running v5 on and that you can run the command curl, it is part of Win10

Re Batch - OK no problem with those.
Re Upgrade, see below:

- stop the v4 or v5 recording service that is running - YES, I did this.
- remove tray icon exe you don't want from auto start - Permanently NO. I hovered over it and v4 icon went away for the duration of the v5 install. It came back after as I have been too chicken to uninstall v4 in case I lost everything / until I got v5 where it needed to be for this Corona-period KAF and WAF. Kids have been doing school from home for nearly 8 weeks now, we got in early here... 
- copy the v4 config.xml and npvr.db3 from NPVR to NPVR-data - YES. This worked well, kept pretty much all my v4 settings. Kudos to sub and you for making it seamless.
- restart the v5 server - YES
- remove and reinstall IPTV tuners and recordings. - NO. Do not have IPTV Channels.

Probably terrible practice while I test and do the transfer across, but I have to admit I have both v4 and v5 running in parallel using the same xml for shows, directories for recordings and tuners. It hasn't got ugly yet. Is this an issue?

IP is 192.168.1.10 for both and ports are v4: 8866 and v5: 8867.
