You have it hooked up to a pc running nextpvr then?

Yes, via an HD HomeRun Prime.

Update: Thanks to all who replied. The advice was great! CableCards weren't even on my radar. Dealing with Comcast was... entertaining!?
-I called and ordered the cablecard. They sent three of them in the hopes that one would work. -I bought a Silicondust HDHR3 off ebay. The guy sent it in the original packaging with manual. Who does that? I rip packages open like it's Christmas morning and I'm 4. -One by one, I plugged the cable cards into the HDHR3 and entered strings of numbers into the comcast web page. All three failed to "Authorize" -Spend twenty minutes in online chat with Dehirdra to find out that the last one had, in fact, authorized. -The HDHR status screen still says: Authorization: None -I originally had just internet and local channels package with Comcast. When I called to upgrade to a faster, more channels package (minutes after ordering the Cablecard) the agent, midway through the call, says, "did you order a cable card? One just popped up on my screen! I don't know what to do with that! and drops to the floor in the fetal position, sucking his thumb and asking for mommy. - Another tech takes over and promptly puts me back on the old plan but with the teaser rate. - I try to correct it at the local brick and mortar store. This agent is stymied as well until he gets a manager. - They are charging me $10 a month for the two extras cards until I return them. -Adding 50 channels to NPVR is really tedious, especially when the channel scan shows the same 50 channels as available in SD, HD, HDMPG2 and HDMP4 so you have to enable and disable and attach listings for 200 channels. Luckily the bulk map did help some. But it all works now and I have 4x internet speed and 2x channels compared with SiliconDust Premium TV for about $10 more a month than I was paying before and the cost will go down $10 a month when I return the excess cable cards. Yeah, I was not looking forward to the HDMI recorder kludge. Thanks again for the suggestion.

I wish there was a CableCard type solution for satellite. HDMI recording isn't really a kludge, but makes channel changing extremely slow.
