Hey @Sub, that's not really the issue here, NPVR is clearly recognising the Show even with "and" v "&" and "Two" v "2'. When I click on the blank poster area for either of these shows - when they are incorrectly named - NPVR does search and finds the show correctly - it appears in the search box. It just doesn't download the poster. But, when I edit the show title to the correct name, click the blank poster area, NVPR searches and returns the same show and instantly downloads the poster.
It appears that when the name is not an exact match, the search still returns the correct show, but, NPVR is still somehow relating the incorrect name to the poster and failing on the download. Sorry if this is difficult to understand. i just can't think of another way to say it Smile

If you look in c:\users\public\npvr\media\shows, does the artwork get updated for this show when you try selecting it from the list? (ie, is it updated in the directory, but it's not showing on the screen)

Hi @Sub, Yes that does appear to be the case. The image does indeed appear straight away in the Shows folder, but does not appear in the shows detail page when selected from the guide - even after a restart. It is also not available to EMBY.

When you fix this, will the image be available for subsequent appearances of the show - even after a daily epg update?

With the correct image downloaded, but not showing, if you delete the entire contents of your c:\users\public\NPVR\thumbs directory, then go back into NextPVR, does it show you the correct artwork? This directory is a cache of artwork resized for display in the sizes needed by NextPVR. All these files can be safely deleted - the thumbnail cache will be rebuilt when it next needs the artwork (it'll load it from c:\users\public\NPVR\media\shows).

This is probably something different... When Emby asks for artwork, it'll always give it the current files from c:\users\public\NPVR\media\shows. However, I'm guessing only asks for the artwork files once, then stores a copy of it, and never asks again, so even if you've changed the artwork in NextPVR, Emby probably just keeps using it's old cached artwork files. There maybe some way to force emby to rerequest the work (like deleting it's cache files)

Yes. It only ever downloads artwork when it doesn't already have artwork files for that show in c:\users\public\NPVR\media\shows. (it work replace it with new artwork unless you delete the existing files from that directory, or explicitly change the artwork in NextPVR)

Sorry for the delay.

I deleted the content of the Thumbs folder as per your instruction above. It contained a number of images - about 7 or 8 I think but also a large number of xml files.

I used the children's show "Wiggle Wiggle Wiggle" as a test.

TVDB has this show listed as "Wiggle Wiggle Wiggle", however the TV Networks entitle it "Wiggle, Wiggle, Wiggle" - using commas. Unfortunately, EPGC does not yet allow the use of commas in it's editing scripts, so I can do nothing to correct the title and make the NPVR guide match with TVDB.
Searching for the show using the NPVRs search function, I bring up the show detail dialogue, clicking the blank poster area, NPVR returns a list of Wiggles shows, selecting the correct one, NPVR does download the correct poster into the Media/Shows folder. However stopping and restarting NPVR, even re-starting the pc does not produce a copy of the image in the thumbs directory and therefore the guide never shows it. I'm wondering if there is a title mismatch causing this eg presence of the commas in the guide as against the lack of commas in the name of the downloaded image?

thanks

Hard to know. If you want to zip up your npvr.db3, and your media\shows directory, I can try looking at that show here.
