How do you get channel icons from Schedules Direct

Check the tvlistings.zap2it.com site for your provider and it should have the same icons that you will get from SD

I think that there is a problem with V4 getting those logos. When I tried downloading all the logos for my lineup a couple of weeks ago, I only got about 1/3 - 1/2 of the ones that tvlistings.zap2it.com displays for my lineup. I'm hoping that V5 will fix whatever the problem is.

The names still have to match although (I think) if you pick the specific SD OTA lineup and not the cable lineup I think it matches on major minor

Martin: Are you saying that NextPVR will only download icons if the names match?

From my "testing" it seemed like there were channels/logos where it downloaded the icons, but used the SD name rather than my current NextPVR channel name. So I would have to manually rename the file after it was downloaded. Which is a little annoying but understandable. But it seems like it should at least download logo files for all of the channels in the SD lineup which have files available.

Here is what I think is the problem with my database. As I have added channels, I share icons and I don't merge my analog, hdpvr and digital. I think NextPVR only creates one icon per SD station id. so there is only one file for those 3 CBOT listings. BTW this is my XmlLookup utility, I probably am the only one that uses it but it works great for digging into this kind of problem.

For my production v4 server, I have 2 HDHR Primes with CableCards and a HDHR Quatro with OTA. I did merge the major network HD channels between the cable and OTA sources. So those have the same name and channel. But there are other cable only channels where the download didn't seems to get logos and they should be there. I didn't spend time troubleshooting at this point. I figured I'd wait until v5 had support and then work on it there.

That was the case, and fixed in next v5 build.
