Suggestions for the KODI Add-on

@Escape7 What skin are you using?  I checked and I added the channel icon last year and it displays on recordings when there is no art.  Also Estuary doesn't appear to display the channel name on recordings.

Perhaps you are looking at recordings for channels you have deleted?

Hello Martin, i am using the default ESTUARY skin. 

And no, i am not looking at channels i deleted. These are channels i use daily. If you want, i can make some screenshots.

I know it is no fair, to cmpare with others, but most of the things i listed up, work with the TV-Mosaic PVR Plugin. But in summary i prefer NextPVR now. And i will not change back.

For example, what works with TV-Mosaic:

- Showing free Space in the bottom line
- Showing the station where the recording is made
- Showing the channel icon (but it never shows any cover art, this feature does not exist)
- Showing single recording (a movie not a series) directly on top, not in a subfolder

This is really not meant as any complainig and not meant negative in any way. We are talking abount a FREE software, and it is great!!! 

But perhaps we can push some things even better... :-)

Could you please provide a screen shot from NextPVR and also the xml that creates it

And you can also see, that no channel name is shown. In the same default skin, TV-Mosaic showed the channel name.

The service only brings up an error.

Edit: I was to fast with the service, directly after standby it brought the error. After a few minutes, the service worked and i attache the XML in a ZIP now.

After resetting my database I found the new channel name data.  I need to see TV Mosaic screen shots for the real difference. 

What I do see though if I switch to the Confluence skin, is the channel icon does appear beside each recording (on the left), and the channel name in my new changed version for Matrix does appear in the field that is blank in Leia.

Hello martin, a friend of mine has TV-Mosaic still running. I already changed. So he made a foto from his TV Screen, where you can see, how TV-Mosaic handles it.

In KODI there was an update for the NEXTPVR plugin, but i do not see any changes, even after clearing the database. Looks still like always.

That is the same as I show in the Matrix update that you don't have. His "ProSeiben" would be where my "Global Toronto HD" is displaying.

What I don't know is where you are suggesting the channel icon shows in TV Mosaic on the main list

I am still considering having the single shows separated, the issue is they are at the bottom of list which would cause confusion for existing users.

BTW I am definitely not having the total space because it is only valid if there is one recording folder. It isn't worth the overhead for most users. It is especially bad if there are two folders on the same drive since summing the free space would be give seem to double the free space. With two drives it would never be clear if one was almost full.

So i have to use kodi v19 to get the recorded channel shown? Bad that is dies not work in kodi v18. I do not understand why, because it work with tv mosaic. But ok, all the things i can live with. I dont want to use kodi v19 right now, if it gets beta, yes, but alpha is too experimental for me.

It was simply an omission for years that no one has mentioned and is only a cosmetic change, hardly worth a backport. There are several other things in Matrix already that aren't in Leia, where sub and I are focusing on v5 timeshift and bug fixing only.

No -> but TV Mosaic always makes a preview picture -> so it always looks nice :-)
