KODI NPVR Addon misbehaving

It's not clear to me why the web server is not logging but the server looks to be restarting every two seconds so I suggest you reboot the server.

The server incorrectly responding with the 404 message would explain the error message in Kodi and that may not even be linked to the Kodi crash logs. May experience is that Kodi has trouble resuming from sleep.

My experience is the v5 web server is more stable so it might avoid the 404.

Martin, you lost me. What do you mean by rebooting the Server?

Plus how do you reboot the Server unless you are talking about my DSL Router. I know how to reboot that.

I have a regular Desktop computer not a Server. Does that indicate I have something configured either in NPVR or KODI?

I am talking rebooting your NextPVR PC. NextPVR runs a web server which seems to be having big problems starting up.

I have restarted my Desktop PC several times without any changes to the problem in the past.

Do believe that I may have a corrupted NPVR installation that may be causing the issue? I haven't install NPVR since all this has been happening believing it was KODI's NPVR addon

I was reading the other long thread about Timeshift.

If I upgrade to NPVR version 5 would it migrate all the configurations and personal data to that version automatically or would I have to configure everything again from the beginning like the all the channels and TV Recordings?

Will my EPG batch file using Zap2XML still work normally in updating the EPG menu?

The reason why I am asking, both you & Sub has advice the other User to upgrade to V.5. Both have indicated it is more stable than V.4 for his problem.

It appears from ndigital-host-54.log that NextPVR has been up since the 1st and the web server is crashing so logging is not working I can't tell anything more then suggesting a reboot.

If you run regular timeshift livetv mode with v4 I would certainly expect NextPVR to crash from time to time. v5 is much improved for

You should be able to copy your config.xml and your database to a new NPVR-data folder to see it work. You can copy your batch files eg for zap2xml but any reference to the NextPVR folders will need to be updated.

I have restarted my Desktop PC several times without any changes to the problem in the past.

NextPVR has a process that runs continuously in the background.  It is this recording service that connects to the tuner devices and makes recordings and enables live TV viewing.

Rebooting your computer restarts this service and starts new log files.  Rebooting and then recreating the problem and then posting logs might provide additional information in the logs.

Okay, Restarted my Desktop with NPVR installed last night before going to bed.

No change in Kodi



This morning installed NPVR on top of current installation.



No change in Kodi.




Have an image of Kodi PVR Error with Logging enabled.

No change in behavior the web server is not logging.  Can you get at it via the browser. http://127.0.0.1:8866

Good. Try rerunning (no need to uninstall) the 4.2.5 installer to reset .NET for the web server and test again.
