DVB EPG support for the 'HDHR' is brand new in the release a few days ago, and there could be some scenario I'm missing or something.

Hi,

I think I've got the same problem: no EPG ("update EPG" gives me 0 insert/update) with my HD HomeRun.
Please find my logs attached.

I hope it's okay to post in this thread, I didn't make a new as it seems really similar.

Thank you
Are you in North America? If so, we do not receive the broadcast ATSC EPG with the streams coming from the HDHR, so you need to use some other EPG source like Schedules Direct.

(If you're in Europe/Australia/NZ, there has been a work around in place in the last couple of release to allow these countries to get the DVB EPG).

His profile says France and I suggest he contact @nonob to see what xmltv file he uses, it seemed pretty complete even with S/E numbers and art.

SD is also available in France for a really simple solution

Ah, you're right

That quoted scan status message looked like it was from an HDHR Prime (but yes could have been a European version).

Yes, I'm in France, so European HD HomeRun:
Hardware Model HDHR4-2DT
Firmware Version 20190621

I've found French XMLTV file here: https://xmltv.ch/ so I'll use it if EPG doesn't work.

Thank you

The HDHR streams don't normally carry the EPG info, but I put a workaround in very recently to make it work for DVB users, and is working fine here, but it's still very new, and it possibly still needs a little work.

Is this the correct IP address for your NextPVR machine?
Code:

With the Setting->About screen show, try holding the ctrl key, and you should see a button appear for temporarily enabling verbose logging. Click that, then do an Update EPG, and post the logs when complete. Hopefully that'll give some more clues.

Here's the verbose logging.

Which also appears to show that it scans for only 6 seconds on each frequency  ... but I don't know if that is what it should do.

From what I can tell, it isn't receiving any data from the HDHR.

It might be worth opening the HDHomeRun's web app, and see if the tuner is locked, and sending data when you attempt this EPG update. A screen shot from this when scanning vs watching a channel would probably help me get to the bottom of it.
