Glad you got it going even if you likely missed a step since that work won't be necessary if you capture stdin and stdout properly.

KODI just crashed (Screen froze) in the middle of watching a recorded TV show.

NPVR gave error of unable to connect to Remote Server.

Stopped an Restarted NPVR Service. Everything working again.

Here are the 2 Windows Event Viewer errors generated when KODI crashed:

Sub will need to look my guess is you have too many recordings for internal tables

It looks like it's a timing thing happening around EPG update time, where it reschedules power management events.

Can you let me know if this updated nshared.dll helps?

Update:

Since 3/31/2020 when Sub gave me the new .DLL to replace the current .DLL it seemed to have fixed the NPVR Service issue. It only has been 4 days but without any incidents concerning the NPVR Service.

Before the problem would occur two or more times in one day.

Sub the updated .DLL is that the .DLL for the next v.5 update or did you specially alter the .DLL to fix my specific issue?

The reason why I am asking is that possibly other Users may download the updated .DLL thinking it might fix their problems also.
