Attached is the "zipped" config.xml file.
(I dragged and dropped - but it's not clear to me that it's actually attached to this message since it appears to be sitting at the bottom of the window.

Looks like nothing attached - I tried to drag and drop both as I wrote the original and again in preview. Ugg - this is so elementary and it's eluding me!!!

It needs to be a .zip file to attach.

Either drop it on the text that says "Drop files here to upload", or click on that text and it'll popup a window where you can select the zip file.

You need to use the v5 folder c:\Users\Public\NPVR-data

Thank you, mvallevand. I wasn't clear why there were two NPVR directories.

Also, thanks for providing the keyboard commands chart - very helpful!

Adding "wmv" to config.xml in the NPVR-data worked - at least to display the file in "MUSIC."  However, it doesn't play properly - the sound is fine but the picture flickers (I'm guessing 60/sec); also, the "view" either competes with the default MUSIC screen, or, when I click on "VIEW," the MUSIC screen drops to the lower right quadrant of the image, still flickering at 60/sec.  I researched "decoders" in the forum and am clearer on the protocols and options, however, I haven't been able to resolve; e.g., in one posting, SUB mentions he likes the MS decoders for MPEG2 and D.264, however, when I select "Microsoft DTV-DVD Video Decoder" from the drop-down for these settings, no picture is shown for Live TV (audio continues to work).
Also, although I added "wmv" to the "Videolibrary..." in NPVR-Data, it will not show my "wmv" files.
I ran through these issues starting at `12:14 PM today (12-3-2020), changed the view on the flickering and competing picture in Music at 12:14, hit stop and exit at 12:15 PM.  I am attaching the log and, if possible, a screen shot of my current decoders.  Screen shot (.rtf) doesn't work, so I'll type the decoders here:
Renderers:
Video Renderer:  EVR
Auido ...:          Default
Music ...:          Default

Video Decoders
MPEG2 Video:  LAV Video Decoder
H.264 Video:    LAV Video Decoder
HEVC Video:    Disabled

Audio Decoders:
MPEG1 Audio:  LAV Audio Decoder
ACE Audio:      LAVE Audio Decoder
E-AC Audio:  Disabled
AAC Audio:    Microsoft DTV-DVD Audio Decoder
HE-AAC Audio:  Disabled
(check mark = yes for) Only use mapped audio decoders during its playback

thanks,
bickertn
PS:  is there an easier way to enter something like the above list when posting?  I couldn't attach a wordpad file/image and i couldn't copy and past from the decoder screen

I attached the log by clicking on the attach link, scrolling and selecting, but it didn't work.  I will try again.

Sorry about this failure to do something basic. The file shows as attached in "preview post," but with greyed out "check mark" and "X" immediately below. Clicking on the "check mark" does nothing and when I hit "post reply" the file does not show as posted.

Any files attached need to be in a .zip file, and less than 2MB.
