Is it nextpvr.exe using it? ie, if you close it, does it go down to nothing.

I was seeing about 8% GPU (while sitting in menus) before I made that change to nextpvr.exe. I'm now seeing about 0% GPU.

I wouldn't expect to see any significant amount of CPU while sitting at the menus.

Yes, the numbers I provided are what is being used by NextPVR.exe and they both go to zero when I close the client.  I too wasn't expecting to see any CPU or GPU usage while just displaying a static menu.

Also, I'm probably using a much lower spec system than you.   Big Grin   The info in my sig is current, but it was working great until this last update.

I'm pretty sure that last updated I did to nextpvr.exe did fix the cause, but I'm wondering if I didn't updated the release build I supplied to you, so I'm supplying it again. Please retry.

Yep, that's the magic one.   Big Grin   CPU and GPU at zero while recordings menu is displayed.

I've also applied that file and the high usage has disappeared when viewing the menus for me too.
Unfortunately my GPU usage still sits at anywhere between 30-50% when viewing programs.

Thanks for your help so far.

Did you apply the new file in both places?  It is used in both the C:\Program Files\NextPVR folder and in the C:\Program Files\NextPVR\client folder.

I'm pretty confident the patches supplied in this thread address the bug introduced in 5.2 that caused this high GPU usage. I'm not aware of any other issue that could account for high GPU usage.

What CPU and GPU are you using? How much GPU are you seeing playback a recording in another player? Video playback is going to require some amount of CPU and/or GPU.

Hi Harry

I don't have a NextPVR.exe in the folder C:\Program Files\NextPVR...only one in the Client folder.
