Names not saved with season number episode number

Maybe the common one is confusing things but that should work.

The "common" one is ignored. It's the first time I've seen that in an xmlv file.

It looks like it's successfully pulling in the season/episode number, so should be able to save filenames with this format.

A bit strange (in a good way). The last recording worked.
The only difference I can think of is that this morning an automatic EPG update occurred.
But what I find strange is that I had already done a manual EPG update after I did the re-scan and fixed the channel guide source settings. But the naming was not working after that manual EPG update.
Could it mean that there is a difference between a manual EPG update and a scheduled automatic EPG update? Or maybe I'm wrong.
I will try to remember this the next time I have problems so I don't bother you for nothing.

No, it wont be to do with this. It'll just be related to the specific show you were trying to record.

No I think it is would be something else. Not sure how you are scraping the guide, but both zap2it and Schedules Direct do return the generic show information without much metadata. If your XMLTV updates were failing for a while the "far away" show might be generic. A good example would be the late night shows that are generic search Fallon in your guide and you can see what I mean.

For Mom do the search and if you see the "Bonnie a recovering..." description they won't have S/E data.

Yes, it is a zap 2 it guide.

I did a search for "Bonnie a recovering" and it did not find anything. I also searched for all Mom episodes and they all had the S/E information for this week. But the error was from last week guide.

I hope l can figure this out the next time it happens. Thanks again for all your help.

If you get Canadian channels City TV has a lot of the generic Mom episodes in November.

Thanks, I used to get it intermittently but my hdhomerun seems to become worse every year and now it does not even show up when I scan.
