Hi,

I don't know if I'm having the same problem as SWK, but I am unable to ge the executable path to save. I use the browse button to navigate to the desired program file, select it and press OK the config program exits and when I reload and review the setting, nothing is saved.

Can anyone help?

Thanks

Hi Ashen,

That bug was only fixed in 0.4, so make sure you have that version installed. Otherwise can you post the logs from during the config.

Thanks for the help, I've been using v4, and it still doesn't work. Although I have tried 3b and that didn't work either, could it be due to a file incompatability with a previous build?

Do you think it would be worth uninstalling GB-PVR and all the plugins, and only copying the files for v4?

Which file exactly is the log and I'll send that to you, I seem to have a number of very similary named config files.

Thanks for your quick reply.

i doubt reinstalling everything will help, but you can double check that v4 is installed. if you can provide all the .log files. like gvpvr, gbpvrrecordingservice and config (all .exe.log's). Just zip 'em up together.

Hi Ashen & Norman

Sorry, I just tested the .exe selection and it is still not working - But I could have sworn I did test it previously.

I edited the file config-recorders.xml as follows :

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<settings>
<globalSettings />
<captureSources>
<captureSource oid="12">
<executable>C:\WINDOWS\system32\cmd.exe</executable>
<recordingParameters>/C D:\DVBRecord\GBPVR_DECRecord.CMD /RECORD {channel} "{filename}" {minutes}</recordingParameters>
<previewParameters>/C D:\DVBRecord\GBPVR_DECRecord.CMD /PREVIEW {channel} "{filename}" {minutes}</previewParameters>
<threeDigit>True</threeDigit>
<zeroPad>True</zeroPad>
</captureSource>
</captureSources>
</settings>

I also found that I needed to add a dummy channel changer .exe to stop GBPVR from calling the channel changer of another tuner.

hrm, okay so it's not fixed. I will have to investigate. Ashen, for now just edit the config file directly like SWK did. You will have to use the dummy channel changer, I think that's what's there for.

I set the dummy channel changer up as :

Exe : C:\WINDOWS\system32\cmd.exe

Params : /C D:\DVBRecord\GBPVR_DECRecord.CMD /CHANNEL {channel}

Hope this helps, Sean

Thanks I will edit the file as SWR has done, where he used cmd.exe, should I also use that and then load the program using the command line or should I direct it straight to the executable I want to use?

I'm not sure what you mean by setting up a dummy controller, where do I enter the information you gave?

Normanr, SWR thanks for all your help.

you can point it straight at the executable you want to use. SWK had to use cmd because he was using .cmd files instead of .exe's.

Just select the null channel changer in the capture source config dialog.
