Yes this is the typical error with a bad conf file

2021-12-08 19:55:33:287 [ERROR] Failed to get tuning params for (ITV) from /config/adapter2-DVB-T-channels.conf

which is why I asked to see them.

It looks like I might have circumnavigated it for one of the adapters?

First find if the two are the same, they aren't always.

Then copy the biggest one to adapter0 and adapter2 and try the test again.

That was going to be my next suggestion.

I'll sort my channels out first. As any changes presumably will need copying over again.

I'll let you know how I get on


Just thinking now...I wonder if it created that file when scanning separately rather than copying over the configuration. Then once I deleted and copied, again the .conf remained

Changes in scanning in linux is something you don't want to do unless you have very strong signals because of other issues.

Mm, I did the copy; copied in the GUI and restarted a bunch.

Think it might be working; though distribution seems odd

NextPVR can recording multiple channels on the same mux. There is some logic to assign tuner that doesn't always look intuitive but sub's logic for recordings is pretty good most of the time. Live TV users can get bumped unnecessarily because of the emphasis on recordings but with 4 tuner you shouldn't have that problem.

I did wonder that.

Just appears to favor it...Over using another adapter; I'll keep an eye on it. Hopefully it's all good

While I'm here....Do you know what merging channels actually does?

I know in TVHeadEnd I could then choose to favor a HD channel over SD for viewing/recording

Merge simply merges, I have requested more control because I have to keep my tuners unmerged, but you can assign higher tuner priority to a tuner if you isolate the HD channels on it.

Once you get used to unmerged channels it isn't that bad.
