It's creating a shitload of small files in / directory, and deleting them almost as quickly. I think you've been very luck it's worked at all this way.

They are being added and deleted so fast you might not even notice. Please make the requested change and then worry about whether this caused the problem or not.
Code: 2021-12-09 12:11:06:938 [DEBUG] rolling to next slip file: /live-CBeebies HD-1-7-1.ts

Docker containers also have issue with growing and not reclaiming diskspace when private files are create within the container, so you'll probably find you're not actually managing to save the diskspace / diskaccess that you were hoping to.

It's not really a disk space issue, I just don't particularly want it writing to my NAS at all times.
Just used a tool - iotop and it's definitely writing.....Must be as you said...Too fast to see. I'll make the changes for now, and buffer to my NAS May give it a whirl writing to a RAM disk later if that is the way it operates

While I've got this ticket open...
What is --publish 16891:16891/udp \ this port for?

Actually when you create the /buffer link make sure you have it to the filesystem and not to the NAS file system.
There could be problem with CBeebies though the bit rate seems far too low. 2021-12-09 12:11:05:936 [DEBUG] Received 188 bytes from device so far ... 2021-12-09 12:13:11:448 [DEBUG] Received 236128 bytes from device so far Martin
Now you've just said that...You have reminded me of something that happened.
That channel did not work so I re-scanned to auto (offset) and it started working. Prior to that, it appeared to come through at a slow bit rate and never display. Possibly something there freaked out and it never ended on channel deletion?

Is CBeebies still a part time channel? If so, I wonder if there is issues with the tuning info for that channel when you scan an it's off at the time. Might have been related....

Not sure.
I would have definitely scanned while it was off. Data then seemed to be coming through the following day incredibly slow. I thought it could have been due to the offset scan; as everything seemed to work after another scan. That one however, was during it's working hours; so it could have been that too |
