Manual mapping seems to work fine, and it even worked out the correct mapping automatically once I selected the XML file to use (same XML as the main tuners), so not sure why it wouldn't automap.

In any case, I have it working now, so all good.

Thanks for the help.

Thanks - but I'll need the xmltv file too.

Are you talking about the XML containing the EPG? I'm using Matt's one from here:

It automapped correctly when I tried.

Your channels were mostly IPTV, and single EXTRA channel. I first automapped both of these to 'None'. Next I automapped IPTV to your xmltv, and 24 channels appear to have mapped correctly. Lastly I automapped EXTRA to yoru xmltv, and the one channel mapped correctly.

That's why I was thinking the problem might be the download script. But it is always good to set to None first if you automap.

Probably doesn't make any difference, but I'm also still on Version: 6.1.1.221106

Who knows? There were definitely automapping improvements since then so always better to be using the current release.

Martin.

One last question on a related subject. It's not urgent, I've seen it a number of times in the past when I have re-set channels, but it happened again with this new extra. I have several recordings that are set as recurring recordings for the old channel 7 on channel number 7 (record entire series). Now they are not working for the Extra, which is actually now on channel number 97. So, I need to rehash them, but no matter what I do, I can't get it to record anything other than "record once". Here's what I tried:
  • Chose the show and use "record series". It has absolutely no effect, and show does not turn red like it will be recorded, nor does it show up in the scheduled recordings
  • Seems like it is being caused because there is already a recurring recording for that exact show on the old channel 7. So, let's try updating the existing recurring recording to "all channels". No joy, it still refused to schedule that show on the new channel
  • So, let's try removing the old recurring recording. deleted the old recurring recording and try to add a new one on the new channel. Still not working, nothing is scheduled
  • OK, maybe it's because there are some single episodes also set up already on the old channel. so, remove all the single episodes from the schedukle, remove the recurring recording and try to schedul a new recurring recording on the new channel. It still doesn't work.

No matter what I do, it will refuse to schedule a new recurring recording on the new channel for any show that I already had an existing recurring recording for, even if I remove the old recurring recording, remove the existing scheduled recordings of that show, empty the EPG, re-load the EPG, and then try to schedule that recurring recording on the new channel. However, if I schedule a recurring recording for a completely new show which was no previously in the recurring recordings, it works fine. Also, if I record a single episode of the show, it works fine.

This seems like a bug to me. How do I flush the cache/memory of that existing recurring recording so that it will allow me to create a new one for the same show on a different channel?

When this has happened in the past, I have found that if I leave it long enough after deleting the old recurring recording (until the current EPG history runs out, usually about 7 days), then eventually, I can schedule a new one and it works.

Any ideas what's going on here, and how I can force it to erase the old recurring so it will let me create a new one?
