I'm looking into replacing my switch shortly. I've been experiencing similar issues with an SMC 16 port switch. There was a power failure about 2 weeks ago and since I can't get my MVP's to boot when connected to the switch. I'm currently sharing the 3 ports available on my router with 2 MVP's and 2 PC's, so I'm constantly running down in the basement switching ports. I was wondering if you could tell me the model number of your netgear switch. My odds of success are better if it'd working for you.
