can't get http://localhost:8866/service=?method=channel.m3u

I did want to open a new thread. I hope that's ok. Any idea what would cause an error when doing 
curl -o test.xmltv http://localhost:8866/service?method=channel.xmltv

method=channel.xmltv is one of very few features that only works for people that have registered a donation in the Settings->About page (using the 'Have you donated' button), otherwise gives this 'Not allowed' response.

You need to turn enabled unauthenticated access in Settings Access, put the URL in quotes and for good measure change the extension to .xml

Unauthenticated was already enabled. I tried putting it in quotes and I still get the error. One of the reasons I want to see the results is when I use the url in Jellyfin, it doesn't seem to pull EPG information. I got around it by changing the EPG parameter in Jellyfin to point directly at my IPTV provider instead which isn't ideal if I want it all to go through a VPN.  
Just out of curiosity, is the EPG data pulled from NEXTPVR roughly the same as the IPTV provider  or is it a subset of the channels I have enabled in NEXTPVR?

Use the NextPVR addon for Jellyin and you don't have to set up anything.


On the main settings page in NextPVR web does it show you donated?
