Every program we watch we skip commercials. I cannot recall seeing the issue on the first segment if all we did was hit Play.

When the issue occurs, if I hit Stop, then Resume, the it is fine for a short period, then gradually gets worse and worse. Watched Chicago PD, and they were in a different room than the dialog belonged to.

I'm leaving your show just playing in window on my third monitor while I work. 18 minutes in it's still looking ok. I haven't tried any skipping yet.

Are you using a SPDIF audio connection to a surround system / amp?

No.

Tried that.  When the window is there, can't use any of the FF or RW controls.

Yep true.

You might need to note down the number, then switch back to NextPVR, do some skipping around, and when it's out of sync, switch back and get the numbers again etc.

The problem continues.

Was watching a show last night and it was so bad I had to switch to watch it in VLC.  I tried stopping, then resuming, with and without subtitles, and it would get out of sync within a few seconds.  Worked fine in VLC.

Then, watched the late news using Live.  Rarely use it, just switch to the TV.  Live had the same sync issues...

I did use the utility at one point (see below).

This morning I went and played the same show.  Couldn't recreate the issue...

System has not been rebooted since 3/2.

I expect if if works with VLC it will work with yauiclient (which I eariier suggested your try) so at least you will get the NextPVR GUI. If playing the same file works sometimes, I suggest you look at other things. What kind of drive is your M:\ drive?

Why would the drive matter?  If it was a drive issue, wouldn't that just make everything stutter, vs. a sync issue?

The drive is a WD30EZRZ Blue 5400RPM.

Usually drives are sequential C, D so I thought it might be USB or network. As sub noted audio and video are never in perfect sync so data delivery can be one of many factors.
