I don't how Plex plays back live TV or recordings I can't help there. There can be a difference between chunked http and standard http but as Brett says it is time to stop speculating on how you get such a bad stream.

But, if you just have 1 IPTV source, then you would only have a single "tuner device" so the priority wouldn't have any effect. At this point, if want any more assistance you are going to need to provide log files as a starting point. And make sure that you get them from the NextPVR web app | Settings | "Log Files" button so that they get flushed and all of the related files are included.

I streamed that CDN URL from the with 0 error in one hour are you on wifi? I did read that keshred 12 is tokenized so not a pure URL, and I am not sure how often the tokens refresh.
Also s it is a catchup URL which adds to the issues (hours of streams) in on m3u8 file so not sure if that impacts live TV vs recordings, and how NextPVR handles #EXT-X-PROGRAM-DATE-TIME lines. It could also impact timestamps. Maybe turn on verbose logging and we can check for error in the logs (Ctrl on the main settings page for the hidden option) Martin

I enabled verbose logging. Thanks, Martin, for pointing me to the feature.
I'm using wire connection with 1Gbps up/down bandwidth.

Sorry the m3u8 file is so large with so many hours of catchup NextPVR fills the logs in 5 minutes. However there is something that sub might investigate if that is indeed a negative number with so many segments in play.

I might have found something but could be total coincidence. I found that the source has different streams for different resolutions that I can play with. This specific stream was 1024 x 576. I just changed it to 720p (1280 x 720) and it seems to work but only did a single test.
I also tried 1080p but when i click on the player, the player fails to open it. Saying bad stream. VLC opens the stream without an issue. What's your thoughts? for the 1080p: I replaced the link (https://1drv.ms/f/s!AoIrlVDr4zCPpow1o5gS...A?e=2Xe565) with the 1080p file. it's 5 min so it's small. I also added the logs after deleting the previous one. Maybe, you'll see why it fails playing.

I was looking at the logs for the 1080p issue and according to the logs
[h264_nvenc @ ...] InitializeEncoder failed: invalid param (8): Invalid Level. which suggest that the nvidia encoder doesn't like level=4.1 (1080p @60 fps). I switched the transcoder to cpu, which played it. Is there away to update the encoder? |
