If you aren't using NextPVR web for recording playback then my comments about direct play don't apply. You are directly recording with no ffmpeg use at all.

Something is causing your Windows PC to be exceptionally slow even on your C Drive but there is not enough information here to know why. Maybe monitor CPU and Network with task manager during a recording and see what is causing the slowdown. Turn off any anti-virus and VPN for the testing.
