I am not using closed captions with that show... While I appreciate you have a 3rd party solution, it works with 3rd party solutions. The question is why it doesn't work with NexPVR? And how does one configure LAV? I previously posted my LAV screens and no one said there was anything wrong.

Believe me if sub knew why some users have these issues the root cause would have been addressed long ago. The API NextPVR uses is powerful but complicated and custom. This is a good read https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/window...directshow. That is why sub asks for samples but when the sample plays well there are no clues.
Sub did consider a modern player but too many users are happy with how NextPVR.exe works. The focus of late has been on adding functionality to to NextPVR.exe so by extension UI clients like y3 benefit. Even the web UI client can work well for many users now.. I am not asking and even don't care if you ever run my third party app but it is not custom it uses an ffmpeg engine much like Kodi, VLC, mpv, Emby and Jellyfin. I feel the mpv extensions are the best you can get. It is is not perfect but a strong alternative to Direct Show. Martin

Using a 3rd party player doesn't solve watching live, or delayed recordings. Currently watching the 11PM news, LIVE, and the sound is not synched properly (sound is behind visual). To watch it live, I could switch to the TV and be fine. But, I can't watch it delayed, but still recording, with any 3rd party solution.
If I could find a solution that duplicated NextPVR functionality without audio problems, I would. I considered switching to Silicon Dust, but that would require buying a $200 device that is obsolete due to DRM.

It does live tv and lets you watch recordings while they're still recording etc, with exactly the same UI as you get in nextpvr.exe

Do you have any registry settings in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\NPVR? If so, please take a screenshot. I'll see if any of those might be hurting performance on your machine when playing in NextPVR.exe
Is your machine fast/slow?

I tried to reinstall it, and nothing. I have not tried the newest release.

I'll do a longer test with your file. I'll start playback and come back and check it in 30 minutes to see how the audio sync is.
Please also attach your logs, so I can see what decoders and audio renderer etc are being used |
