Most i talk to have some sort of ending as opposed to just hanging up. That always seemed a bit rude to me, mostly because it is a bit rude.

I say "bye", Canadian though not sure if that counts eh.

Of course it counts, but it's probably a Candian thing eh?

I've been actually trying to get into the habit of not doing so. If they don't say it first, then sometimes you end up hanging up on them as they fumble w/ the unexpected sileince at the end of the call.

On TV, if you think about it, most of those calls are "busniess" in some way, and not personal. I have found it easier to hang up w/ clients/businesses w/o comment.
