Ok I uninstalled everything that I saw related to lame, & and mp3 layer 3 encoding. Installed the encoders listed above still no sound. I thin my problem is undertsanding what is the mp3 encoder & how it works. What lines should I be looking for in the report so I can continue tofool around. Another question is, is there a way to convert to the various porcesses on my own, instead of recording and then waiting for GBPVR to convert it. This would save me sometime in trying to locate and fix the error

That log actually looks successful. Its seems to have spent 16 minutes transcoding a file and successfully made it to the end. Did the avi not get created?

Its probably worth trying xvid instead. I notice the DivX encoder filter to be very quirky.

I think I might know what is causing the issue with no audio in the conversion processing. At the top of the log files posted it complains that it can't find the GB-PVR parser and I think that might be the cause but I really don't know what that does. However, if I run the GBPVRConvert command manually from a command prompt it finds the GB-PVR parser and I get sound, if I have the process run automatically (set in the config app) it can't find the GB-PVR parser and I get no sound. So far that is the only consistency I have been able to find between getting sound and not getting sound in the conversion. I have even run regsvr32 on the GBPVRParser.ax file and it still can't find it when the automatic convert process runs so I'm not sure what to do.

hmmm...

I seem to have the same issue. I can successfully convert to an Xvid file when doing it manually but when I try to set it automatically from within the config app, I get an error saying it's can't find the GB-PVR parser .

I get a file with video but no audio and I've registered the lame.ax file. It's the only lame.ax file on the PC.

Do you have a mvptranscode.grf file in your GB-PVR directory? If so, can you open it in graphedit and post a screenshot.

I don't have mvptranscode.grf in my GB-PVR directory.

Here is another error I recieved in the convert logfile. The connection object number seems to be realted to the "pMoniker->BindToObject() failed" in that the number is the same.

That itself wont cause any problems, other than the % complete progress not being shown on the main menu as the transcode progresses. We'll worry about this missing audio first.

Do you have C:\Program Files\Common Files\System\ADO\msado15.dll on your machine?

D:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr is the install directory.

PVR-250

Yes. It's dated 8/4/2004 and it's 524kb.

I have both of these files the msado15.dll and the mvptranscode.grf on my system although I am using a standalone GBPVR unit and not an MVP device so I'm not sure if that matters for the mvptranscode file. Anyways when I try to open the file in graphedit it tell me "Some files that the filter graph uses are no longer available" so I can't open it...that is using graphedit 9.04.78. I'm still in the same boat where transcoding manually works great but using GBPVR to automatically do it results in video with no sound.

I have installed in the default install directory and I am using a PVR-150.
