Hi,

you can change all channel numbers in gbpvr on the "Channels" tab page of the config application. There's no need to edit them at the dbox recorder configuration too, as the plugin maps dbox channels to source channel numbers, which are not the same as channel numbers.

does this plugin still work with the latest gb-pvr, and is the latest version still v 1.0 from the wiki? I didnt see anything in the thread about a newer version but I like to check :-)

Also, I saw some talk about a verison for enigma2... I have a dm7000 at the moment but am toying with the idea of getting a 800hd... just wondered if development is going on to get it working with this device?

Thanks

yes, the plugin is working here with the latest gbpvr release, and there are no newer versions of the plugin available. Currently I don't have the time to make enhancements to the plugin, sorry, so there won't be a version for enigma2 in the near future.

it's working fine here with the latest gbpvr release. What kind of errors do you get? Logfiles would be helpful, too.

if I use the command below i can record the TV channel fine.

"C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\Third Party\ggrab\ggrab.exe" -host 192.168.0.24 -s 0 -e "" -p 204 28e -o "H:\2bencoded\test.mpg"

it seems that your recording service is not running:
Code:
2008-11-09 23:41:21.187    ERROR    [1]    Unexpected error: GBPVR.Backend.Common.GbpvrException: Failed to communicate with the Recording Service.

really strange tried it again, i checked the recording status and it said sleeping and it still wouldn't work then I restarted recording service from the gbpvr tray tried again and it now works....

so it may be a bug in the status saying its available when in fact the service has gone lala land, as I had checked it last night as well.

Nevermind I now have my Dreambox working once again

Whilst trying to record some of the Xmas specials I have found that GB-PVR is only recording the first 11 seconds (exactly) of the programme. Then the recording cuts out and the status of my Dbox returns to "sleeping". However the TV Guide (EPG) still indicates that GB-PVR is recording.

I recently changed my image to the new lakys-sylas image and so I wondered if this might be the cause of my problems. I have just changed it back to Snapshot and tried recording again but I still get 11 seconds. Since returning it to its original setting didn't make a difference I'm now back with lakys-sylas.

I have looked in the capture device settings in GBPVR config and tried swapping between Neutrino and Enigma image types to see if that would make a difference, but it didn't. I also changed between WinGrabEngine (which I normally use) and ggrab. I've never had any luck with ggrab and this time was no different so I've gone back to WinGrabEngine.

The only other clue I can offer is that I can watch live TV without a problem.

Can someone help me out before my wife discovers she can't watch the Doctor Who Xmas Special please?

Jeremy
