What UI would you like to see and how would it behave?

The thing I really miss is having the weather shown on the main menu. I use slick and weather2 currently.

I've never looked at the slick skin, but I believe it shows an image of the plugin, correct?

If this uses the getTaskImage() method, is it possible to have this update the icon in the slick menu? I could put that on the to-do list...

Minor one....

I've got a script which creates folder.jpg and <recordingname>.jpg. When I delete a show, PVRX2 of couse removes <recordingname>.jpg along with the mpg or avi file no problem. however when only the last recording is from the folder is deleted.... PVRx2 doesn't handle deleteing the Folder.JPG and thus leaves the folder present...

Can it be updated to remove folder.jpg when everything else is removed just before it removes the folder.

Is it possible to a pre and post time per tuner ?

I've got three tuners, 2 x Freeview which runs about to time and 1 x Analogue connected to Sky Digital.... The Sky channels often run about 3 minutes out....

The app doesnt know which tuner will be used for the recording at the time you schedule a recording.

Ability for plugins to popup while something is playing (CallerID, phone messages, alarm plugins would need this).

The abillity to "program" a remote dumb client (so when its turned on (MVP / NMT), a series of mapped commands are sent to it like "menu > recordings > play = xxxx" automatically when its activated), nice for picture frame TV,s to display photos by using GBPVR....

Better managment of recording devices, so when you want to record you have the option of selecting which device to use for recording, same for playing (so you see something on the screen like an icon for each device saying only device "2" is idle).

The above ability to name said devices (already in GBPVR but nice to see that on the above icon onscreen).

My wife likes GBPVR for its consistent user interface.
That said the consequense is that I can not convince her to use a separate userinterface (outside GBPVR) to play the large music collection.

So here are our music player requests:

• Ability to jump playback forward and backward (just like video) while the folder that contains the current playing music (continues to be/is) shown.
  
• Ability to read a cue file and show it as a one level deeper folder listing the tracks inside the cue file as separate entries

Would it (or is it) possible to have a true alphabetic sort of folders and files, rather than the "folders first, then files" sort that seems to happen now?

eg, you'd get:

file1
folder1
somefile2
tinyfolder

rather than the current:

folder1
tinyfolder
file1
somefile2

Also, perhaps an option to hide the [..] "go up one level" icon that is shown, for those of us who use the back/exit/escape buttons on our remotes to perform all navigation.

I would like to see two things in Video library:

A hybrid view. If only folders: icon view and if files: list view
Show folder.xml with show info for the content of the folder.

(these are things in videos library that I really appreciates and think should be usefull as default.)

Rather late but the inclusion of a good dvd browser separate to recordings would be excellent. Showing dvd covers and information in an easy to configure way so that i can have a true HTPC (with your excellent multi-record).
As several people have said keeping the UI easy to use as if my wife cannot use it without being reminded which buttons to press she'll demand 'something that works'.
