WDM Recorder using Software Compression

New to this forum.

I'm trying to get my Pinnacle PCTV pro going but no luck so far with SoftwareRecorder.

I can select everything in config but as soon as I click the OK button in Software Recorder Config I get an error message starting with:

arlieyoung: when using preview mode I just enable the Audio Input line for the mixing device. Am I assuming that even after livetv has been closed that you are getting the audio still? (I'll add something to build 12 to disable the mixer input when you stop watching) By the way I'm pretty sure it's recording the video, just you default decoder can't read the video very well. m0rt was having the same issues.

Klaas: that's because you didn't pick an option in the video encoder drop down (maybe becase there were none). You need to install the moonlight mpeg2 encoder. (I'll add soemthing to build 12 to ignore this, so that you can still watch livetv in preview mode even if the encoders are not installed)

ok has anyone lelse had this problem with build 11 i goto settings to setup the capture source and i get thie error

- Fixed configuration issues that were not saving configuration changes.
- Missing config checks in RecorderHelper framework.
- Fixed empty drop down boxes causing configuration to fail to load and save.
- Mixer pin is turned off when stopping LiveTV Preview.

ok i just put in build 12 but still the recording failes so i have included a copy of the log

Got picture and sound with my Pinnacle PCTVPro.
No radio however.

Hi, I've been playing around with gbpvr and this plugin for a while, things are taking leaps forward but I've still yet to get a display on the screen! I used to get 'parameter incorrect' errors, they went with build 11. Now however, when I open live tv it just freezes, I can't even end the task it just stays there.
I have an ATI AIW 8500DV card, which logs should I post that may help out to see where the problem lies?

Klaas: great! yea, no radio yet I've been busy getting TV working, but radio is on the cards.

clhumphreys: hrm, just give all .log files (or just the ones updated during testing), and config-recorders.xml. just zip them all up, and attach the zip file.
