Should we retire this thread and create a new community skin thread in community announcements?

When they become buttons instead of indicators, then they will be identified and used as ButtonPageUP..... buttons. That makes sense, and there will be a visible difference between them and regular, non-clickable indicators to avoid confusion.

As far as sizes go, they can be scaled to whatever size is needed by the plugin. Nothing has to be used as the size the image is. If these indicators are kept in the CommonImages folder, a consistant look among all screens is preserved. TV Guide can define it to be smaller, other plugins can define it to be larger.

Then change the MoreUp/Down image to BlueMCE to indicators, Otherwise you have changed the plugin developers design.
Also add ListView_Active to CommonImages.
Also in Recordings there are a LageListBar_Selected missing.?

I didn't notice it wasn't visible from the normal wiki methods. We can change that.

Most developers have been reading this thread, but there is nothing wrong with going more public.

I imagine some are just waiting for the new baseskin.xml mehtods used by the next version of 'blue', and letting us skinners mess with graphics standards.

The skinfiles are in the Developer section, so they will be visible there.

I think what he means is that there are no links to the CommunitySkin wiki pages from the SideBar. Just added the links.

No problem the images are all subject to change. What is different about our More_Down.png and the \resources\down.png in MCE2?

On another note, does the My series use Up/Down button images? That is the only plugin I saw that used arrow_round_down_focus.png and nonfocus.png?

That is a mistake. It should be ListViewDetail_Selected.png

There are more plguins that uses arrow_round_down_focus as the indicators... MysicLibrary2 also does it if don't remeber wrong.

I just downloaded SystemStatus skin and there you had changed the ListView_SelectedActive to ListView_Active....and the ButtonPageUp/down to more_up/down

The ListView_Active is a mistake, the ButtonPageUp/Down didn't exsist in the latest image files zip file so I got errors.

The question is, do we make all arrows look like one half of the MCE2 skin or the other half?

You removed them, so they where not there.

My suggestion as to keep both types.
Ask Reven and Psysic what they think about MoreUp and PageUp indicators, since it is their skins that will be affected. Otherwise thy might tweak them back. Then we missed the idea with this tread....to have the plugin developers do the skinning.

I just uploaded SystemStatus again with correct Image names and added the Close button. Fatman_Do had done som copy and pasting and had gotten wrong image names a wrong width on ListView_Normal.
"sloppy" changing of XML values.
Why don't we rename the previous skin.xml a keep a couple of versions in the ZIP so it is possible to see the changes?
