yea, that's the sort of thing I was thinking about. What would make sense would be to add a channel grouping field in the recording source. Then you could choose which recording sources share (or don't share) channels. I'd imagine that sub would want to leave this as a post version 1 change, so don't bug him until v1.0 is released

There's your delay, there's no code inside the software recorder at that point. The delay is happening outside of the plugin. ask sub nicely if he'll add some debuging info in the main code.

I have been playing around with your Software Recorder, and everything is okay until i record something or use the Timeshifting, then there is no sound.
I am using the encoders you recommended.

indeed, but what decoders is your computer trying to use? An application like GSpot will tell you. I've found that the 'MPEG 2 Audio Decoder' works well. Check the recorded files on another pc if you can to see if they work there.

I have 3 capture sources. What I have done is create three xmltv files, one for each. Because xmltv uses the standard display-names every time it is is run, I have written a small app that parses through and gives new names. So for example I then have one EPG file saying BBC1 SKY, the second BBC1 SAT, the 3rd BB1 DIG. That way I can chose the source easily. A small batch file and it should be automated.

Can you send me this batch file, and I will edit it for my own uses? That would be awesome, if not to just have an example.

arlieyoung: odd it's breaking when it tries to find the list of controls for your audio device (eg: volume and mute). I'll try add something to make this a soft fail. It's doing to exact reverse of the startup procedure, but maybe i missed something. Will check.

also, i was wondering about the sound playing while its recording? I thought I saw you said something about fixing it in 12..
