I just began work on my CNN Plugin UI so count me in. What's involved in making a community skin?

We still haven't heard much from the plugin developers or Sub. It is their time to talk now. The "foundation" is laid.

Sorry, but to be honest, I have found it really hard to follow this thread. I'm guessing if it hard for me to follow, everyone else is in the same boat, unless they're in there making the changes to their skin as they read it. I will try to spend some going over it again soon, but I'm just in the middle of a few other things at the moment.

Besides making a blue version of your plugin, make one that uses image names found on the wiki page instead of xml values. The actual images are just for reference, the names used are what is important.

Maybe download Music Library from the wiki page as a reference since it uses quite a bit of different things (icons, thumbnails, ect.)

You are free to express the layout however you want. It can be a normal left side menu button with a right side list, or something like Music Player, Video Archive, MusicLibrary2, ect.

Common Image Plugin Skins Project
BlueMCE2 image naming is outdated in many ways.....and TitleLogos sizes don't match our needs. BlueMCE2 resource directory is full of images that are not used and plugin unique.

Defining a new Common Image Based Skin that will replace the BlueMCE2 Image Set, will benifit all Plugin Developers and Skin Designers. The plugin skin will be portable by drag and drop the plugin skin into the full skin. We ask all Plugin and Skin developers to help outwith creating the new plugin skins.

I found a small error. When I attempt to access "pending recordings" I get the following message. "Error: Could not find file 'C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\skin\Community Skin\_Commonimages\LargeListBarNormal.png'."

The error popup has an ok button but I can't ok out of it (with the remote). After using the mouse to ok out the remote no longer functions. Gbpvr needs to be closed and restarted to fix it.

I have checked and the file is not in the _Commonimages directory.

Edit: This also happens when selecting manual rec, what's new and reoccuring.

There are errors in that xml file. Let me fix that and post an update.

I think that we are kind of finished with this thread now.

There are too many posts in this thread for anyone to follow.
I started an new thread for Common Images and Community skin.

Now we need the plugin developers to embrace the new definitions.
