Two things:

1. When I set a Season Recording in the web interface it correctly shows the Season and the next item to be recorded. However, once "today's" recording takes place it does not appear in the list of available recordings? Is this by design and if so any plan to change it?

2. Is there a plan to allow recordings that were not scheduled via the web interface to appear in the available recordings list?

In view of the potential for a large list of available recordings over time how about a separate tab listing for them?

1. It should show, must be something broken, maybe something went wrong in the DB. sub - any ideas? (is this maybe linked to deleted recordings? - shouldn't really should it?)

2. They should (they certainly do on my machine).

3. Well we already have a seperation for different types of recording status - try ticking/unticking those checkboxes, i didn't add them for fun. Anymore and we're starting to group by programme right?

P.S. In retrospect, I think you just need to tick 'Available' and it will 'fix' all your 'bugs'.

I guess I should have explained that I tried fiddling with the checkboxes. Right now I have all of them ticked and things are the same as I reported.

On the deleted recording matter, when I first setup the season recording I selected one recording time and changed my mind. I deleted the settings and reselected season for a different time frame. But I don't know if this changed anything because I had not setup season recording so nothing had run prior to this.

On the GBPVR-scheduled recordings I have a situation where I have one item that was scheduled via GBPVR that can be seen in that display but does not show up in the web. With the exception of the season recording everything I have scheduled in the web interface appears there as intended.

I suggested the separate tab for completed items as I thought it might be easier to use than fiddling with the checkboxes --- not necesarily for us computer 'geeks', but for our "ordinary" family members :-) As to the question about grouping by program, for the family I think that might actually make sense --- Actually like the video library interface in GBPVR. I like the web interface better than any of the GBPVR plugin interfaces for the video library from both the standpoint of scheduling the recordings and selecting recorded programs.

Another observation on the "missing" recordings. I looked in the GBPVR.MDB RecordingSchedule table and the programs missing were in the database but did NOT have anything other than names like "Stargate SG-1". The ones that were visible had full filepaths and filenames.

Okay, this one has me beat. My web admin TV guide show no entries, I just get the header bar with 4 x 30 min slots and the date. Navigating forward into the future still shows no entries. However if I use the on-screen TV guide I have all my epg data showing.. 127 channels and over 44,000 programs. The Manage Recordings tab shows all my scheduled and ready recordings and the Advanced Episode search shows all channels, but yeilds no results for any searches. I have tried Empty EPG, reboot, Update EPG and it doesnt help, the web guide is always blank while onscreen is fine.

I'm trying to avoid completely deleting and recreating my capture source as everytime I do that it takes me hours to recreate, remap and order all my channels. Any thoughts on why the web guide shows nothing while the onscreen guide is fine? Can't see any error messages.. the page does load very quickly, almost as if the aspx might be timing out or something, possibly due to the large number of channels I have loaded?

I've upgraded to version 22 and still have the problem..

jsteele, angryant: I'm guessing there's some exception being thrown somewhere here.

1) is there a copy of all you plugins (from the gbpvr/plugins folder) in the gbpvr/web/plugins folder?

2) track down the web logs, go look in: C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.1.4322\Temporary ASP.NET Files\gbpvr\<random>\<random>\assembly\dl2\<random>\<random>\

You're looking for gbpvrpublic.dll, and next to it should be the log files. If you could attach them here it would help :-)

Hi normanr, thanks for the quick response. Please see my log attached to this post. I have added two comments to the logs to make it easier to see. It's a clean log, with:

1) a login via index.aspx which produces a number of errors and then
2) Click TV Guide tab which also produces lots of errors

Regarding copying plugins to web/plugins. I hadn't done this before but I see in v22 you have a plugins dir, so I copied them across and restarted the recording service, it didn't seem to fix it. Let me know what you can figure out from the logs. Thanks again!

try this:
1) stop the recording service.
2) delete all files except gbweb.dll, and gbweb.pdb from gbpvr/web/bin
3) start the recording service.

Deleted the files except the two you mentioned in web/bin. They were all recreated after restarting the service with the 07/06/2005. Didn't seem to help, web admin epg still blank. Added latest logs. Thanks, what else can we try?
