Hmm. I have have had that working for a long time. Maybe because you have something selected for Previously-shown. Oh well. The latest version (as yet unrealeased) should fix this...
That's correct. I'll look forward to the next version. Thanks!
it's up

v1.1.43 works good for me now. I've got date where I want it... well, although... Would it possible to add an option of "append to sub-title" for date Rolleyes ... I'm still trying to figure out where'd I like it best... THANKS!

The UltraXMLTV_Manager is a program that helps configure and then launch you different XMLTV programs, in sequence. It's like a batch file with out the batch file...

What I'm trying to hammer out now is the Wizard. So far it's able to find just about most places you may have had some xmltv software installed and running with GB-PVR. It tells you when there's redundant redundancy references to the same program, when there's a logic loop, (UpdateEPG calls itself) , set a valid file to a Capture source, etc, and so on

Eventually the wizard will be able to configure your system based on its logic and findings, but for now, it spits out a report telling what you what it found and what you need to do.... (eventually it will be the list that it will perform)

I need volunteers to fire up the software, run the wizard and send me the text file, promising they won't press any of the other buttons, till I've had a chance to document and user proof the program more...

The wizard is painless, and takes less than a second to run....

Any takers, pm me with your email address and I'll send you the program.

Oh and BTW, put your GB-PVR handle in the email. Some of the email addresses don't match the handles, and it's confusing to know who I'm working with...

Thanks...

Hi,

Does the UltraXMLTV_Manager work with V99.12?

Zap2it leaving really goofed my setup that I loved - Xrecord with TV listings and I-xmltv TVguide supercharger and rename recordings.

I've been using yapi2xml and i-xmltv for yahoo now but its nowhere near what I had. My listings are so unreliable now also.

Should I upgrade to the latest GB-PVR? Does xrecord and rename recordings and yapi2xml work with it? What would be the best programs to get my system running great again with the type of programs that I use?Big Grin

Thanks,
Scott

First, I would like to commend you guys on a great EPG enhancer replacement! After Zap2It closed their doors, I decided Yapi2Xml was the EPG scraper for me. Though, I soon learned that the version of I-xmltv for Yahoo! EPG was a bit behind the version of I-xmltv for Zap2It. UltraXMLTV has been a god-send.

I'm ecstatic to see the alternate season/episode scraper! Though, I've noticed that it only works with scheduled recordings or what's listed in your fetch list. As some EPG sources (notably Yahoo!) are hit or miss with their season/episode information, would it be possible to build some logic into UltraXMLTV to first check to see if the season/episode information was already included with the original xmltv file and use it or if not listed then alternatively scrape for that information. I would like season/episode information for any series I might consider watching and having the season/episode information already available to me would be a great decision making tool! Or does someone have a lengthy fetch list already assembled?

I really love how you have made the placement of data so configurable. Though, I have noticed that some of the data I would like to add to the sub-title is limited to category or description (i.e., Date, Rating, etc). Would it be possible to broaden the scope of these data to include sub-title placement?

Thank you for your wonderful efforts.

Respectfully,

Gary

Hi,
I am using Vista Ultimate 64. It loaded the xml file when I started the program. I selected my configuration and clicked "commit changes" then click on go I get a "run-time error "9"" "subscript out of range"

I also clicked on "test for DTD" and this seem to run for a wile then it seemed to hang.

First off, thanks. It was a lot of work. Glad someone is using it.

If you would like to have data, placed in locations other than currently available, just ask. I'll see if I can do it. Most likely I will.

The reason I don't have an option to download ep info for everything is because, there are many many shows, that I would have to download info for. That would be crazy big.

Actually just for fun I guess I will set it up to do it just to see how long. I will make a log to count all the shows. The logic is already in place that if the show is actually ended, the there will be no further downloads. (eg "Star Trek" (TOS) would only ever be downloaded once.)

But even if the data is already on your hard drove, it still takes a fraction of a second to query that data. Over 29000 - 87000 records (that I've been testing with ) that adds up. That's why I have not included this option, thus far. Also, when I started this project I was only using Dial up, and I wasn't going to download 20000 shows' info on dial up.

Specifically, the episode information included in any of the north American EPGs, dare I say, ANY at all, actually correspond to the season/episode format that I and many use. Therefore, it would be useless to only download if the episode info is not already in the record, because in most cases, it is, but it's not what I want, so it's either all or nothing, or the ones that you have selected from Recurring Recordings, or manually added to the fetch list.

In any case, I suspect no one will actually want to download all shows' episode information, yet I will add that feature, and also create that text list, so that you can manually (and tediously) edit it and then use it for your fetch list...

Don't know what's going on.

From where are you getting your xmltv file? And can you make arrangements to send me the file? (PM to get my email address, and zip and send it to me)

Have you got your issue sorted with the scraper? (I read from the other thread)
