jschoef: it won't work with wdm recorder files until you re-compress the audio, the ati encoders [and every other one i've tried] don't put out the correct audio specs for dvd by default, so the files created with wdm recorder plugin need some work before adding...can just leave video alone and fix audio, will be faster..Smile [try using ffmpeg and -acodec mp2 -vcodec copy]

paperchaser:i thought i put a search replace in there for those chars, but i guess not..you can add it to batch file...details somewhere in previous posts..
look for "if exist info.txt snr info.txt ) ]" and add a line saying "if exist info.txt snr info.txt & -n- "

clayton.erickson: update epg??! doesn't have anything to do with the guide..
you just run the showburner2.exe and it will extract some files, ask you where to put temp stuff, and what letter burner is..then can access it from video library.. all there on wiki page...Smile

When I upgraded to 99.12 the transcode menus for showburner are no longer available. I did have a problem during the upgrade at the very end during the config phase. Is it expected that showburner will need to be reinstalled?

ah, when did that get here...hehe hadn't seen it...
will get right on it...but yea, should be able to just re-install it..
[unless something's changed in the vid lib]

check change log to see if that's so..

i'lll make any changes necessary when i get it installed and see if any is needed...Big Grin
but i have a feeling it overwrites the old profiles, so just a re-install should do it..[it will overwrite any files in gbpvr\showburner and the burndvd.bat]

will let ya know if any changes are needed..

I reinstalled and the menus are back. I didn't try a test recording to make sure but it all looks good in 99.12.

yea, i think he deletes them to ensure adjustments are made...
ffmpeg looks like same one so if that hasn't changed, nothing else should be affected..

i may put in a 'upgrade' cmd line for the installer just to redo the profiles..

i found that titles and descriptions with quotes inside were choking my plugin, so i made a new snr.exe to change them into a ` instead... [eg: Monk uses his detective skills to find the mysterious "Six Way Killer." ]

download here and place in your showburner dir...
it will replace all the double quotes in descriptions...
if anyone finds any in the titles, let me know..
will fix both in next release..
[this should help a few users who had problems with some files and couldn't figure out why..]

I am new to GBPVR. I downloded it this week. I read your post about Showburner, downloaded it, unzipped it. Ran the .exe and answered its questions. It said installation is complete. I down see it in Start>All Programs. Now how do I get it to run?

It adds on to the transcode menu in the video library plugin. Select a file and then press transcode and you should see new options to:

add for DVD burning
burn DVD
delete file from dvd burnlist
delete all from DVD burnlist
read dvd-que and total size.

Normally I delete all first and then start adding files. When you are done adding files, then burn DVD.

Does that help?

After selecting the Video Library and selecting my file and clicking on Transcode I get a message that tells me my file is less than 1gb. The message goes away but noting happens. My file is 7.19gb but I have a blank dual layer dvd in the unit. Can it not handle dual layer disks?
