The intervideo ones are in the "Directshow filters" catgeory. Th realtek on is probably in the "Audio renderers" category.

I don't know why anything would change - maybe I did something wrong the first time. Today, when I used graphedit and inserted the dvd navigator, then rendered the video pin, I got this (the other two pins worked fine).

Yeah, thats likely the same sort of problem GB-PVR is encountering.

Ok, any suggestions for tracking this down and resolving it?

Not really. Its usually a matter of looking at which applications you've got installed with video decoder. Maybe uninstall some. Install some different ones. You could also try disabling some using the DirectShow filter manager from (http://www.softella.com). I think 'fiddling' is the technical term, though its often also referred to as 'dicking around'. Fair enough, though I can't think of anything that's installed (it's a clean machine build just for gb-pvr) except possibly Nero 7. Could that be it?

So, I'm confused. First, I uninstalled Nero. That didn't help. Then I used graphedit to insert the intervideo filter - boom, it blew-up. And sure enough, the dvd still won't play. Then, I go to intervideo win dvd recorder, and the dvd plays just fine. Any ideas?

No sorry, I dont know. I've not had this problem myself.

Maybe uninstall the Intervideo software and reinstall, or maybe install PowerDVD instead if you've got it. Nearly everything I buy seems to come with a copy of it, so surely you've got it somewhere.

I do have it. Once I install it, what else do I need to do?
