Okay. I guess I was just lucky and not having the issues before. I had read some of the posts about the timestamp issue before, but I thought that the driver fixed the whole problem. It's odd that you have to edit the registry yourself, but I guess that's what happens when you're running prerelease drivers, right?? Smile

You've been most helpful. Hopefully this will solve the problem. *Crosses fingers*

Always glad to help. And BTW - I used 24054 with no timestamp issues but I had no sound most of the time...

Anyway - Good luck!

The reg edits seem to have fixed my timestamp issues, however, the new driver is quirky on my system. It starts fast forwarding like what is mentioned earlier in this thread. This happens with a good bit of frequency in the one recording I made. I'm rolling back to my previous driver and hope that the reg edits work with that driver.

It depends what your previous driver was. These registry settings were only added about two months ago, so anything older will just ignore them.

For those less technical you can copy the text below into a notepad file. Name the file something like timeline.reg and execute it.

*********** Begin below this line

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\hcwPP2\DriverData]
"HcwTimeStampIssue1"=dword:00000001
"HcwTimeStampIssue2"=dword:00000000

I had the mysterious "no audio" program that was described in the fix list for this driver. I've got 2 dual tuner cards, and one of the tuners on one of the cards would record video ok, but the audio gain was very low and you could barely hear anything. Installed the new drivers, removed the tuners from the GB-PVB config and reinstalled them, and the problem seems to have gone away.

I quite pleased about this, I thought I had some sort of hardware defect...
Anyway, my setup records about 12 hours of video a day so I'll report back if there's any other issues that the drivers cause.
