since no transcoding is done, would it be possible to skip in a movie file? or Resume?

Nothing will change.... instead of a moviefile you offer your .avs file to you movieplayer (or in htis case GBPVR and MVP) the rest is the same.

For more specific info on AviSynth you should really look at:
www.AviSynth.org (Homepage of Avisynth)
or
http://forum.doom9.org (Very good AviSynth Threads)

Do you have skip and resume working for the MVP?

I posted a new setup at the website...
- Now more compact...
- Includes only "safe" .dll's
- and nicer to look at Wink

....a pity, when I read through the avisynth documentation and saw it had full seek support, I already started dreaming ....

I made a trans2mvp.bat (http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=16808) that when you play an avi file, first checks if a fully to mpg transcoded file already exists in a cache. If it does the mvp uses this one instead and skipping is possible. A bit crude, but it works.

Well... AviSynth has this support. But the resuming and skipping issue is more of a GBPVR-MVP issue I think... Sad

I'm going to add (steal) this idea and incorporate it into ZProcess. (Which is my 'brain'child resulting from that "Maintaining Aspect Ratio thread"

It's a great idea...

Just upped a new release! v0.4.0

v0.4.0
- added "intellisense" listbox! Now recognises AviSynth filter words in Scriptbox and suggests (and completes) your Script word!
- added function to expand script window, for more room when scripting
- added functional variable %PATH% (replaced by path of clipfile when auto-building scripts) as variable in script template
- if template path setting in settings.ini is non existant, now load default.avt in Templates directory
- moved setting to separate screen (available in menu file > settings or settings button)

v0.4.1
- re-wrote %PATH% generation code, should work properly now
- added a splash screen
- added consequent errorhandling (does not crash anymore and on error writes a errorlog in the application directory)
- fixed bug where program crashes when comming across a "permission denied" folder
- fixed bug where intellisense became visible when moving up from a filter word
- menu option "build script" now initializes disabled
