so that irremote knows to pass string as is..
i'll see if there's an alternative..

BTW: they're just autoit3's key list...can be found in the help file..

I already tried quoteing but it doesnt seem to work......for the moment i use direct access with my Hauppauge...but i would like more functions in it Smile

look at the list posted earlier in thread, it has all the keys you'll ever need Big Grin
[just a couple posts back..]
it includes the lost other codes we need to do anything in gbpvr..Smile
no need for any external programs anymore!

yea, made this originally for MCE remotes with HIP...
but you can use the post message codes to achieve the same thing with irremote.ini as well..searcht he forums for using irremote without focus...these are just the remaining keys we needed to make that work for every key available..Smile

so you can use them with just about any remote controlling program..
i forget the commands to insert for irremote.ini but i know it's possible..
that's where i originally got the first list of remote codes..

oh and check the wiki, someone's making an updated doc with this very thing..Big Grin

I still use send2gbpvr.exe for sending multiple keystrokes for a button. It has its uses, such as if I'm in a menu and want to go to Audio, I assigned a button to send the sequence {HOME}{F4} so it will return Home and then F4 to get the audio menu.

So I'm not using HIP - it caused too many glitches - but I have the Hauppauge MCE remote that came with the PVR500MCE. It works fine but I'd like to remap eg the Windows key to F7 so I can alter aspect ratios without recourse to the keyboard. Is this the right utility to do it? (NB: I've just discovered AutoIt and I think it's amazing...)

hmm,the Fx buttons should work without going to home menu...try hitting F1 when in video library...Smile

yea, i tried translating the {} but it wouldn't send anything then..
only worked if i sent the keys 'raw' and processing destroys that..

irremote can send multiple keys at once also...Smile
it's actually very well made with all sorts of advanced options..

nope...thihs only works if you can run an app when a remote button is pressed...
the built in support uses only the default mappings of MS driver..
you can use the keymappings xml files to re-arrange them tho..Smile
