hi sub, I'm also getting missing epg data for whole channels since 98.13.
ITV1 (was OK under 98.8)
E4(ditto)
SKY THREE (Ditto)
TMF and HITS (only just added these channels so not sure what the data was like before - but it is present on my digibox)
FIVE US and FIVE life (these have only just started broadcasting so once again no history on these - but they do have EPG data on my digibox)
The patch doesn't seem to have made any difference in my case.

***EDIT*** sky three is actually OK - the others definately are not!

After some more testing I have to say, that the patch didn't help.

As I already told, all transponders are scanned now. But still EPG for same channels is missing...like for the other users in here.

Hi sub,

my missing channels are
n24
kabel1
sat.1
rheinmaintv
terra nova
eurosport
pro sieben

I'm not 100% sure, but rheinmaintv was the only one I didn't get EPG data with the previous versions of GB-PVR.

My scan.cache file is attached.

Is a transponser the same thing as a multiplex? I thought maybe the block of channels that I wasn't receiving would all be on one multiplex - but this doesn't seem to be the case. If it's of any help, my missing channels are split over three multiplexes, and on each multiplex there are other channels that are definately receiving good data....

and here's something else to add into the mix...: GBPVR seems to be grouping the channels with missing EPG data together - despite the fact that this is not how they are listed in either the capturesources or the channel list.
For example, check out the location of ITV1 in the picture below - in 98.8 it was listed below ITV2, 3 and 4 because put it there myself using the channel list.
However in 98.13 you can see that it is still correct in the channel list, but has been moved into the 'no EPG zone' on theTV guide (the other no EPG channels are all also in the 'wrong' place).

PS I think this thread needs moving into support Smile .....

Call it as you want ... for the regular user it's the same.
Any Signal of any channel is multiplexed to one (or more) stream(s). That stream(s) is/are broadcasted on an unique frequency (=transponder). It's the same on sat as on terrestical antenna ... only different reception from different frequencies in different ways :-)

Got it?

I`m also experiencing the same issue, although with slighty different channels, Interesting to note that I`m also in Brighton (could it be a Transmitter Issue ? as I was also having similar DVBEPG issues in the last few days of using 98.08

yeah, always a possability I suppose. The only evidence I have against this is that my set-top box doesn't have these problems (although I appreciate thet GBPVR handles the EPG differently) and also I've just tried cleaning everything out and moving over to the XML plugin to get the EPG data, and I'm still having problems with ITV and the history channel. The thing with the xml grabber is you can open the xml file and actually see the data is present, it's just not making it into the GBPVR tv guide. And there's this weird thing with the 'no EPG zone'. Previously channels with missing info would have gaps, but they'd stay in the right order in the TV guide. Maybe there's some special characters or formating that these channels are putting into their EPGs that is throwing up a problem???

Quick update, I spent a couple of hours remotely connected to daneo machine yesterday looking at the DVB EPG update problem. No fix yet, but he is preparing a transport stream file so I can look at the problem here in the debugger.
