Although there is a provision to merge recordings from a single channel, it is not specified that this actually saves an original copy of the received Transport Stream. In addition, it is cumbersome to preset each of the channels for recording, especially if there are many. It would be useful to have a button that simply captures the original stream.

This type of use is typically for business or research which doesn't fit with the personal use only license for NextPVR. There are also no NextPVR clients that allow you to view different programs from within a full transport stream. Creating individual recordings from one mux via the EPG is much less cumbersome then breaking out recordings from one transport stream.
