Your problem is being cause by a corrupt xmltv file:

Quote:2007-03-05 07:03:29.336 ERROR [10] XMLTV: error reading xml: The 'programme' start tag on line 5 does not match the end tag of 'tv'. Line 7, position 3.

Hmmm strange. I have two versions running with the same XMLTV file as EPG source.

The TVguide with version 98.13 works fine, the version 99.12 has problems?

The TVguide with it's reoccurring recording programs is displayed correctly but it doesnt show them as pending for recording in either the TVguide or the Pending Recordings section?

And even more strange : it is recording the reoccurring program even though he will not show it as either pending or scheduled in the TVguide?

I'm pretty confident based on the error message I posted, that there is something wrong with the file.

Zip and attach the file and I'll take a look.

Strange things still happening.

Yesterday my HTPC did it's EPG update before I could change UpdateEPG.bat as suggested by Jim above, so it did "EmtyEPG" during the update. All was good, all reoccuring recordings were still scheduled and pending. (which is good because the tuners are busy on Monday night) Smile

Today on my laptop (which only has dummy capture sources) there was only EPG data through 3/8. I scheduled a daily recording for "News 9 at Noon" and it was pending. I changed the EPGUpdate.bat to "SET EmptyEPG=0" and ran an EPG update which finished at 10:35.

After the update, "News 9 at Noon" is not pending for today (3/6). It is pending for 3/7 and 3/8 but is not pending any day after that. Sad I think with "SET EmptyEPG=0" I-xmltv got new listings for today and 3/9 on, but did not empty 3/7 or 3/8.

It seems for some reason (sometimes, not every time, since it worked at home yesterday) GBPVR does not find reoccuring recordings in new listings. Has something changed with the zap2it data? Is the upcoming time change causing it?

Logs are attached.
What, me worry?

To be honest, I'm not even keen to try to work out what UpdateEPG.bat and/or I-xmltv is doing and how they work. There is a lot going on in there. Jim might have some comments for you though.

I'm not having problems like these reported for people just using the built in zap2it functionality, so I can only guess your problem relates to this extra stuff you're using.

I'm back again. Big Grin Switched to built in zap2it listings and it seemed to correct the problems yesterday. Today upon initial startup, none of the reoccuring were pending. Did EPG update, no change. Scheduled "Inside Edition" as a daily recording, and it scheduled for the 3 days in the listings. Edited zap2it to get 5 days and did EPG update. "Inside Edition" was pending for 3 days, but not for the two new days in the guide, and still none of the others were pending. Edited zap2it to get 8 days and did EPG update from the capture source window - all reoccurings are pending for every day.

Logs are attached.

This is on my laptop. Home PC did EPG update yesterday with I-xmltv without problem. Weirdness.

Hi Styx, I doubt if the zipped xml file is the one with the error in it. Could it be a newer one? Are you still having the error(s)?
